TCA AGM/REUNION REPORTS
This year our annual AGM and Reunion was held at the Toorak Hotel, Torquay starting on Friday the 12th October.
Our guest speaker was the Venerable Ian Wheatley who recently retired from the post of Chaplin of the Fleet. Ian, in his earlier life, has served on Tons and in Afghanistan. As well as his address at the annual dinner, which was very amusing, full of dits and ending with a skit on Nelson and Trafalgar Ian also conducted our Sunday Morning service. On completion of his address a presentation was made to our past chairman John Soanes in recognition and with thanks for his many years service to the association. And to his very supportive wife Ann Doreen Down , wife of TCA Hon. Sec. presenting Ann Soanes (right) with a bouquet.
The AGM went off smoothly. Nothing contentious and all reports met with approval. A full report will appear in the next edition of Ton Talk. Clive Dennison (Vice Chair), John Lippiett (President), Peter Harrison (Chairman), Peter Down (Hon.Sec.)
